Sustainable Graduations Caps and Gowns

The responsibility for sustainability lies in each and every one of us. Our actions, while small, are part of the overall footprint left by all beings on this planet. In an effort to decrease that footprint, we’ve developed the Herff Jones Environmental Commitment Objective. The action plan implemented in this initiative allows Herff Jones to responsibly operate our plants, manufacture environmentally-friendly products and continue to make the communities in which we live and work, a better place for everyone.

How we Make a Difference

Caps and Gowns
Herff Jones has been a part of college graduation ceremonies for years, and we want to continue our partnerships for years to come. That’s why we’re committed to recycling and re-use methods and practices to ensure a better environment and brighter future for our customers and ourselves. For more information, click here.

Diploma Frames
Framing Success, a division of Herff Jones, uses the Forest Stewardship Council™ (FSC®) certified wood mouldings. This ensures that all of our handcrafted frames are certified to be from a source practicing responsible forest management. Find out more about our frames.

Rings
Herff Jones is dedicated to providing products that are manufactured with materials obtained from suppliers who share our commitment to upholding human rights, safe working conditions and environmental protection. We do not tolerate the acquisition of raw materials through processes that result in human suffering or degradation to the environment. For more information, click here.

Yearbooks
Given the vast quantity of yearbooks we publish every year, at Herff Jones our sustainability efforts are always a top priority. As a leader in the yearbook industry, we ensure all our production materials — from paper to ink to glue — are properly sourced and handled by our trained employees. As proof of this commitment, Herff Jones has been recognized with the ENVIRONMENTAL EXCELLENCE AWARD for 10 consecutive years. For more information, click here.
